Our 14 clubs are represented by a Lt. Governor, who is elected every year to serve the members. This year, our Lt. Governor is from the Kiwanis Club of Los Gatos - Terry Martin
Terry Martin was born in Butte Montana a small mining town. His parents moved the family to Los Gatos in the 70’s, Where Terry went to Westmont HS
and achieved his Eagle Scout with Troop 505 and became a chief in the tribe of High sierra. This would be his start in community service.
In High school he ran in track and cross country. Terry attended college at the University of Oregon getting his professional degree in Architecture 86'.
Started his own architectural firm in 92’ and joined the Kiwanis club of Los Gatos in 94’ Serving as the co-chair of the Art & Wine festive for 20+ years.
Terry has been club president twice and served on the board for multiple years. A special memory is of watching the K-kids, Builders Club and Key club
take over a weekly meeting and do their service reports. Working on opening up club opportunities, Getting the Kiwanis name out there and making the
last meeting of the month an evening social have been great accomplishments over the last couple of years. Additionally Terry sits on The Neighborhoods
Commission and the District 9 Leadership group in the city of San Jose. In his spare time you can find him training for Ironman tri-athlons, Scuba diving or
on the ice playing hockey.
